Projects

Case studies from finance, automation, and systems building.

Each project starts with a real operating problem — and ends with a system, not a workaround.

Flagship Build

HAQLY ERP

In active development

An integrated business operating system combining finance, operations, compliance and business intelligence in one unified platform — built for SMEs, designed around how businesses actually run.

Context

SMEs run on disconnected tools: accounting in one place, inventory in spreadsheets, reporting assembled by hand at month-end.

Problem

When systems do not connect, the result is duplication, slow decisions and endless reconciliation — finance permanently catching up with operations.

Solution

One platform where every transaction flows through a single posting engine into the general ledger, and reporting is generated from the ledger itself.

Impact

A working platform in active development, with a live demo — the finance engine, invoicing lifecycle, approval workflows and dashboards operating on real posting logic, not mock data screens.

Compliance Advantage

NRS e-Invoicing readiness

Structured invoicing, full traceability and API-ready architecture make Nigeria Revenue Service e-invoicing compliance a product advantage, not an afterthought.

Group Sales & Inventory Dashboards

Live in production

Context

Management reporting for a multi-company automotive group — vehicle sales, aftersales and inventory across companies.

Problem

Figures lived in CRM exports and spreadsheets; assembling the group's position took manual work every time, and receivables and stock questions were slow to answer.

Solution

Hosted sales and inventory dashboards with drill-downs from every KPI into the detail behind it — receivables positions, stock by lifecycle stage, and the numbers management actually runs on.

Impact

Used daily by management. Refreshed three times daily from CRM data on a weekday schedule, with the connection running two ways: reading from company systems via ERP/CRM API, or GitHub Actions scheduled automation pulling the latest exports.

The production data sections are access-gated because they hold live employer figures — that confidentiality is deliberate, and it's how any client's data would be treated. A public rebuild of the same pattern for a fictional company is open to explore: Meridian demo — live, fictional company →

Excel Engineering · Vehicle Financing

Dynamic Loan Amortization Engine

Context

A vehicle financing project needed loan schedules it could trust and reuse across deals.

Problem

Static amortization tables break the moment a term, rate or amount changes — and rebuilding them by hand invites errors.

Solution

A dynamic Excel engine where the full schedule — installments, principal/interest split and reducing balance — regenerates smoothly and automatically from the deal's inputs.

Impact

Used for vehicle, asset and equipment financing analysis: change the facility terms and the whole schedule, and its summaries, follow instantly.

Excel Engineering · Bookkeeping

Excel Accounting System

Context

A new company needed proper books from day one, before an accounting platform was in place.

Problem

Without a system, records scatter across files and the trial balance becomes a monthly reconstruction project.

Solution

Full bookkeeping in Excel: chart of accounts, journals, an automated ledger, trial balance, P&L and balance sheet — postings flow through by selection logic, not copy-paste.

Impact

The company runs its books on a structured system with an audit trail — statements produced from the ledger, not assembled at month-end.

Automotive · Aftersales

Aftersales Automated Variance Schedule

Context

Aftersales is a major revenue line in automotive operations — and one of the hardest to read month to month.

Problem

Comparing actual performance against budget and history was a manual exercise, so deviations surfaced late.

Solution

A formula-driven schedule that compares actual vs budget vs history automatically and flags operational deviations across aftersales revenue and costs.

Impact

Deviations are visible as they happen, giving operations a variance conversation based on current numbers instead of last month's reconstruction.

Tools: Excel — advanced formulas

Finance Systems · Fixed Assets

Fixed Asset Register & Depreciation System

Context

Fixed-asset records underpin the balance sheet, audits and insurance — and are often the least structured part of the books.

Problem

Registers kept as static lists can't produce depreciation schedules or NBV positions without manual rework every period.

Solution

An Excel system holding the register, generating dynamic depreciation schedules per asset and tracking NBV continuously.

Impact

Period-end asset reporting becomes a read-off, not a rebuild — register, schedules and carrying amounts always in agreement.

Financial Modelling · FP&A

FP&A Forecast Model — Dangote Cement

Context

A sample FP&A model demonstrating forecast craft on real, checkable numbers rather than invented ones.

Problem

Forecast models often hide pasted values and hard-coded growth, so nobody can trace or stress the result.

Solution

A fully formula-driven model on Dangote Cement's audited published figures: FY2024–25 history, a 2026–28 forecast driven by live XLOOKUP drivers, and a scenario switch (Base / Conservative / Optimistic).

Impact

Every number traces back to a driver; switch the scenario and the statements, KPIs and charts move together.

Honest note: the history is the company's audited published figures; the forecast is my own assumptions, not company guidance.

Nigeria Election Monitor

In progress

Status: In progress — incomplete. This is a live build still being completed, presented as it is.

What exists

A live dashboard with coverage-gated, honest displays: polling-unit coverage tracking, and EC8A result-sheet extraction with arithmetic validation, dual checks and human review before any figure is treated as real.

What's still being built

Vote extraction at scale and full coverage. Until coverage is real, displays stay gated — partial data is never dressed as complete, and announced results are kept separate from extracted tallies.

Have a problem that looks like one of these?

Messy data, repetitive reporting, systems that don't connect — I'm interested.
